S2K:Round II
Well I've been kicking around the idea of what to do w/the car this winter. I typically get a sooner start on it, but I was being lazy and indecisive.
I'm sure most of you recall my build last winter, 500whp or bust. So it's going to see if I can accomplish another lofty goal.
As most of you know, I posted up the meth kit I bought last fall I was going to install this winter.
It got me thinking, if I have to go in for a retune, what else could I do at the same time...
My plan is to make 600whp on pump gas, and then whatever else the fuel system will support on 110 for the heck of it.
I'm not sure how my tires now will do, so that may be on the short list if I get the power out of it...then I'm on a timebomb as far as the diff goes. IF I can get this season out of it, I'll be upgrading later in the year, or next winter.
Well here we go.
List is as follows:
I started last night, pulled both front fenders and my front bumper off, will post pics. By the small list I posted, certainly doesn't look like a lot of work, but it really is. Once you account for the wiring, mounting parts, welding/etc. So I'll have several hours in the whole mess.
I started w/the meth install first. Their iis a gap in front of the radiator support, I'll be placing it there. The pump will be installed in the drivers side fender.
The BAP will be in the trunk w/the battery relocation, as well as the relay. I'll be doing the "rewire" mod on the Walbro 255 fuel pump w/the relay (you dsm guys know about this) and removing the bypass valve on the pump so I can pull 80psi from the pump.
Remove my 30r (you'll see it for sale soon), and water lines, as this center section is the new non-coolant section (doesn't need water lines) and then adjust my i/c pipes and downpipe as necessary.
Then the rest of the stuff is just buttoning it back up..and setting a tune date.
I'll be taking plenty of pictures as always. I plan to be working on it mostly all weekend.

more power is always more fun! check with your local track. down here at PBIR you cant have a bettery in the trunk unless you have a quick disconnect accessible from outside of the car and its in a vented approved battery box. i doubt yours is that stingy, but i ran into that problem here with my turbo hatch.
good luck

The track I went to in Columbus, OH (National Trails) last fall gave me a little grief b/c I didn't have a batt cutoff switch, but I'm not about to cut my bumper out to accommodate them once a year.
My battery is sealed, so that isn't an issue.
