Yeah, it doesn't look like that AEM filter will fit in a stock air box.

BTW... you ppl that run naked aftermarket filters, how do you keep water out of the filter? Like it unexpectedly starts raining, while driving?

I too wanted to stay with OEM as I believe it filters better. Here is my OEM filter on the K&N FIPK intake. I'm quite pleased with this setup.

is that just tin foil over the rad? What is the point of it there?

That is self adhesive thermal insulation. It is about 1/8" of dense foam rubber bonded to the reflective aluminum foil. The idea is that I want to keep the temperature as low as possible for any air that comes over top of the radiator and then into the intake. Cold air = power

I figure it's good for an additional 25 hp...
