How much does it cost to change out the interior?

Agreed. Two tone for the win. I'm currently in the process of updating my interior with an AP2 radio door assembly as well as center console and im having seconds thoughts because part of me doesn't like the idea of lying to myself, putting AP2 parts in an AP1 lol.

Its not that hard its actually pretty simple but you will need to remove the steering column and that is the hardest part. I did it with a mate with my last s2000 from black/red 00 to a full red 02 interior and took us 5-6hrs with 2 guys being clueless and following the repair manual. I will be pulling my dash out for my next s2k (searching atm) and replacing it a JDM dash with cutout for the double din

Why not just cut a double din size hole in your current dash?

Anyways, I have found some cars at reasonable price with colors I do not like. For example an all blue 03'... ALL BLUE; carpets, seats, outside, looks like the kid that ate the blueberry candy in Willy Wonkas Factory.
I don't mind rolling in it as is for a while but I would prefer a black trim on the inside or all black.
So my question is: if I were to buy how much would it cost me to change it, how difficult is it and is it frowned upon in the s2k community
Greetings, If it means anything I was on the same boat for TWO years had a set budget (10k) and everything at/under 10k I was finding (within a 300 mile radius) was a color that I was not particularly interested in (exterior and interior color) or the car was rebuilt and/or had over 120k miles. After 2 years of searching and making a 600 mile roundtrip, I was able to locate a MY00' s2k GPW/FULL red interior, clean title, AP2 motor "with 70k miles"/tranny/diff/seats w/speakers/brand new Cooper tires on AP2v1's on HR springs, AP2 Headlights/taillights/front and rear bumper/ HKS exhaust and Hondata tuning computer for $9700. Car wasn't "Perfect" by any means but it drove great and looked super sexy (might be just cuz it's an S lol) and I'm slowly swapping out all the wear and tear items. I had almost given up on purchasing the car (2 years is a long time to just be driving ugly a$$ beaters) I was about to just put 5k down and finance a new car just to avoid having ANY car troubles for at least 4 years. Although my S has already given me a couple minor issues, I'm GLAD I still bought this thing! Because a paid off car is better than owing a bank $20,000 (in my eyes atleast) especially when the S just looks sexier than any car under 35,000$ that I can buy even till this day. Hope this little story may have helped.

Where I'm trying to get at is, if I had rushed and bought a GPW Tan it would cost me an extra:
"Carpet = $150-250
Mats = $80-100
Seats = $700-1000
Dash = $300
Door Panels = $250
Center Console = $80"

Hi,

I have a blue and asked this question a while ago. Why are the red/black interiors of the Berlina black models two-tone but the blue is ALL blue?? I'm looking to just start detailing in and out, so haven't yet decided on taking the plunge on a full colour change although a two tone is the way to go with the royal blue leather if you want to go for it.

This link might help as it contains a couple of shots from another users blue I quite like, to give you an idea on what to expect. Can't help much on costs as I haven't got that far but leather paint or a vinyl wrap might do the trick rather than a replacement. You won't find black/blue door cards I know that

Thanks and good luck
