DIY for soft top canvas removal
Anyone have any info on how to take JUST the soft-top canvas off the frame? I tried searching but most of the threads pertain to removing the whole soft-top assembly (including the motor, frame, and the canvas). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

I recommend slicing the back out of the old top while it's still on the car. It's trash anyway, and it makes it 10000000x easier to get to the panels behind the seats. Trust me, I've done two top installs myself.
Other than some rivets, all it takes is the removal of some trim and a flat head screw driver to pry the old top out of the ribs.
Also, when installing the new top, be sure to pay close attention to the area at the bottom rear of the windows (nearest to where your shoulder is when you're in the car). If you don't tuck it in properly it will bulge and look like crap. Ask me how I know.
