While my faith in the fact that anybody in the Vouli has the first clue what they are doing is at an all-time low (thanks Alexi, I just love my capital controls), I have to believe that this insanity will never come to pass.
Still, I guess it means in december I'll probably be able to find a really cheap s2k. lol.
Jokes aside, they learned a lesson a few years ago after they first introduced luxury tax and then made less revenue than the previous year due to the number of license plates given in. I can't believe they have forgotten that, or failed to understand that under this scenario, only if you have an 1800cc car are you going to be paying a logical amount. Everybody under 1.6 will hand in their plates, and everybody over 2.0 will hand in their plates. They will less revenue than last year.
I just hope that this is the typical greek government scaremongering, giving us a nightmare scenario to chew on before telling us something that will be less aggressive, but still totally outrageous, gia na leme 'pali kala!'
