I would first like to say that Kenwood sucks!! I had this top of the line receiver, and it has completely died on me right at 2 years later!! I never intended to spend that much money on something that wouldn't last more than 2 years!!

Now to the good part. After seeing all of the Alpines out there in everyones cars, I decided to check them out. (Thanks to Wade, Hal, and Dave) So then I tell CDjunkie about it, and he points me to this online site, and I really get excited about the idea of a new deck. Up until now it has all been excited looking. Then this morning the buttons on the Kenwood won't work, so I'm stuck on 1 channel and no volume control!!!!! So I begin to look at head units again. After a quick trip by Tweeter, and a lot of looking, I have a new impulse buy! I ended up having to keep up with the Jones, and getting the damn top of the line unit. (Offering me 18 months no interest never hurts!!) So after my new DCI arrives, I will be installing my new Alpine CDA-9835.



Thanks again to Wade, Pedro, Hal, and David for pushing my audio dreams!! Now I'm broke again!!!

Not so fast buddy. You can't get off that easy. You're gonna need to finish the job with a few Tarantula amps, Focal's all around, and a pair of Alphasoniks in the trunk! Oh, and you'll need $300 worth of interconnects and whatnots.

Yeah...I don't think Alpine makes a "Throw under the seat and forget, so you will have room for the SC guages and shite" model.

I'm debating putting it back in the dash, after condensing my "gauges and shite". Or maybe I'll just take it back out again Who needs a radio??????
