Did a ECU reset with back up fuse (idle learning)then pulled the battery for about 20 minutes. Idle dropped to 1000 and air pump did not stay on. Still have check engine. I'll have the code in about a half an hour. Be back

!!!!IACV cleaning worked. The check engine was for throttle positioning because I was screwing around with it. Cleared the code and car is running better than it has in years. Tail kicked out hard in second gear. Strong idle at 900 with zero fluctuation and best of all, air pump not freaking out. Thanks everyone for the tips and if you haven't reset your backup fuse in a long time, I would suggest giving it a go just to get it dialed in. Cheers. BTW, if you haven't done it, change your radiator cap even if everything is fine. Preventative maintenance stuff. laterz
