Motor Help
I do have hopes that it could be a valve adjustment because it would not make sense to get a random misfire and a cylinder specific misfire unless minor things are going on in other cylinders as well.
Your also saying you haven't miss shifted or over revved which means the question of why you have internal engine damage needs to be answered. No one has driven your car at all? If there is no chance of this then it wouldn't make sense for it to have happened.
It cant be pre existing issue from the previous owner because you have driven it so much since buying it.
In summary , what else could it be other then your valves way out of adjustment? Nothing else seems to have happened to suggest a more serious issue.

It could be the usual issue of valve guides going bad and causing the valve not to sit properly. Do a cylinder leakdown test to verify (SOS charges 80 dollars I think) and go from there. There's no use in throwing new parts at the car if it doesn't need it.
Like I said, It doesn't matter what it is, the head has to come off. Paying $80 to figure out something I've already told you has to happen seems like a waste to me.
Bad guides, bent valve, cracked head. Its all the same procedure, pull the head and take to a machine shop. The only thing you want to eliminate is the short block (the rings)
take that $80 and pay SOS to do the valve adjustment, that would at least be useful.

Sorry to hear again man...
Do a leak down test. All a compression test tells you is IF something is not sealing. A leak down test will tell you WHATS not sealing. If you don't have access to a leak down tester, next time you do a compression test, test cylinder one then add a cap of oil through the spark plug and retest. If the compression goes up its your rings. If not, its something in the head.
Hopefully its not your bottom end. If it is the head, now would be a good time to build the head.
