Pulley Specs
I was thinking about painting my pulleys. I was wondering if any of the bolts are left handed threads and what the torque specs would be when I go to put them back on. Any help would be appreciated. I also think I'll get my heat shield either plated or anodized, that'll be fun getting at that #4 bolt!!
Thanks

dreamgetter1,
Here's the specs I found in the Helms manual. Note that the Helms shows a number of special tools for pulley removal/installation. Personally from looking at the tools, I think a strap wrench to hold the pulleys and appropriate size sockets/ratchet for removal and a torque wrench for installation should work fine.
Idler Pulley 33 ft-lbs
Water Pump 10 ft-lbs
Auto-tensioner- left hand thread 31 ft-lbs
Alternator 81.7 ft-lbs
Air Conditioner 13 ft-lbs
Crank pulley 181 ft-lbs*
*The crank pulley bolt needs to be lubed. The Helms shows lubing the bolt except for the engine side of the washer which needs to be clean. Also the bolt hole and inside of the pulley need to be clean. The manual doesn't specify the lube, I guess engine oil would work. You should probably clean the bolt and hole (brake cleaner?) and then lube the bolt, carefully avoiding the engine side of the washer.
