Welcome,

All the answers about moving into the state and getting a vehicle and drivers licenses can be found online:

True - but finding the smog specific stuff is not really intuitive from the AZDOT page (of course that could just be me)

You will be fine. Just bring your car.

Quick guide for getting your (relatively new) car titled/registered from out-of-state (I've done this 3 times now)

(** make sure you have your old title/reg with you ** - believe me I blew it once)

1) Get smog test 1st (go to out of the way location, go early, or at off-peak times) - should be $27.75

2) Go to MVD office and get Level 1 inspection outside
- if you can, bring someone with you and have them go inside first and grab a number for title/registration so you won't have to wait as long once you are done w/inspection

3) Complete title/registration, pay $$, get plate

That's it - it can take as little as about one hr (total) if you get lucky and plan well

Make sure you bring cash or checkbook - no credit cards accepted...
