This trip definitely filled up quickly this year! AS of right now the entry list is going to be closed. I am working on preliminary room assignments to make sure I have enough room for everyone. It is starting to get tricky because I want to make sure everyone has a bed/sleeper sofa. People will have to work out a rotation or draw straws....

If you came on this trip last year, you are probably getting bunked with the same person from last year.

At this point I want to open a waiting list. I am sure that not everyone will end up still being able to go on this trip, so I want to have a list of alternates to take the spots. Last year I saw almost 8 people drop out when the money became due. Things come up, and things change, I get that, so I want to be prepared. I did a lot of research and can help people book their own hotels. The town of Greer is about 1 mile long, so staying at another spot does not limit you from being "part of the group".

How many rooms are available to us at this main host motel? If I bring a guest, I'd prefer to have our own room. I get my first paid vacation day starting in Sept, so I'm planning on this trip. I love to drive and can't wait for my first devil run.

Its not a typical hotel so if I tell you they have 15 rooms, its misleading. I sent an email to the lodge yesterday giving an update and inquiring about some info.

Rest assured that in my "planning" stages I give everyone that has a "guest" their own room to share. Single guys will bunk with other single guys. Couples that know each other and are ok with it share with other couples.

As of right now I have all the rooms and usable space booked. There are some fold away beds in the penthouse and cabins, but I am not planning on using those. Those will be a last resort, and require some work as in $$$ compensation for someone who is willing to sleep on a cot. I feel terrible charging someone the same price for a cot as someone who gets a king sized bed. It is a lot to plan, so at this stage I am not worrying about it.

Also know that once I start collecting money I publish the "preliminary" room assignments. Then if people have objections or whatever we can work through it then.

Spot 11 is open. I just realized SEMA is the same month. Im not boss enough to take this much vacation time in 1 month
Ill arrange my own place to stay if things change.
