Default Well my s2k jusy shit the bed

Horrendous banging when driving. Goes away if i puy in clutch. Comes back if let pedal up even if at a standstill. Worse in 2nd. Sounds like a driveshaft flailing around (tho obviously not a shaft if im at a standstill)

just had new clutch in, as well as a new used craigslist non raping transmission. Will keep you all up to date on the sos diagnosis.

2nd gear roasted. Transmission lasted exactly 3 heats at firebird east, and maybe 1000 street miles. My first tranny lasted maybe 100 heats plus 10k street miles. Whoever sold me this one knew it was a pile of shit. 3rd synchro was bad on install.

Did you install transmission #2 yourself or was it performed at a shop?
I don't suppose that you can ask SoS to provide the roasted gear for you? I would be interested in seeing what it looked it.

Sos installed so i assume done correctly. It drove fine minus a 3rd gear synchro issue. Was nice to actually have a 6th gear again. Seeing 2nd gear involves me undoubtedly paying sos labor to open it up. No thanks..

So are you just going to leave the bum transmission in the car?
Or are you going to swap in an entirely new transmission?

So as an update I purchased a transmission from a member here and had it installed at science of speed. Unfortunately it was making noise right from the get-go so the seller has agreed to refund my money. I'm only out the labor I paid science of speed. Steve from the board here who works at Brakes Plus in Goodyear was able to Source me a 22,000 MI used transmission which will be installed with a 1 year or 12000 mile warranty.
