What kind of automotive work do you do or want to do? Can you write?
My company's always looking for people that have retail experience (Sales or Service) and can write.

I have an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies of Automotive Technology from UTI.
I'm currently working for Nissan Technical Center out in the Maricopa City area but live in Chandler.
I'm tired of the long drive with these gas prices...Plus it's not quite what I thought it was going to be.
Can I write as in service writing? Never done it befor but I'm always willing to learn.
Whats your company ?
We do sales and aftersales training for automotive manufacturers - BMW, MINI, VW, Honda/Acura, etc.
We mostly deal with the retail side - salespeople on the front end and service advisors on the back. We don't do much technical training, as that's usually handled internally by the manufacturer. I'd talk to the people at the training center to see if Nissan has anything like that for you - that's usually the way people move within this industry. PM me if you want more info.

I continue to work for a major company that provides all sorts of RF products. Just look at your cell phone. I hope it is a Motorla handset.
The aformentioned company is extremely sensitive to stock prices as the executive management and board members are awarded primarily not through a regular static pay agreement, but through benefits achieved from massive stock options.
Think about it... all you have to do is create an investor environment where the P/E ratio is favorable, the stock price goes up in value, irregardless of cost in jobs or quality, and you are a freaking billionaire!.
Corporate America lost its charter years ago when a so-called global economy entered the picture. Who can compete with a so-called engineer who is willing to work for 1/6th of my cost because he has no benefits, and is happy to receive a wage higher than most in his country that allows him to move out of relative poverty. I can't compete with him? Global economy, my ass!
Unfair and unrealistic competition is what it really is. In the end it all benefits corporation's bottom line and what the investors of their stock see as beneficial.
Globalization only benefits the few at top corporate levels and stock traders who suppliment everyone at the top's pay. Globalization does little for the working American.
Corporate greed, and union stupidity will be the downfall of our economy.
