I know SPURS had to do something about it
. I guess I'll try a file, I was thinking sand paper but wasn't sure how effective it would be.

yeah dude mine tore just a little you cant really see it but i went to honda and they dont cover it
. Mine is starting to, but I'd rather not chance it and just prevent the problem without the hassle of letting some subsidized company do a half-ass job.I was just assuming you had done a preventative measure SPURS, from the looks of it - you keep your baby in tip top shape
. Chopper, mine feels relatively smooth also (i think it may be the sharp edge on the elbow that may be the culprit). I'm going to get some sandpaper at the local hardware store and sand everything near that damn wear spot lol. I'll post up some pics when i get the chance - dumb summer class keeping me busy.
seth, if you want to go ahead and have honda cover your top and replace it, i can recommend a very good upholstery shop. Acey's Upholstery replace my top last year after i cracked my plastic window. They put in a GAAH brand top with a glass window with defroster lines in window, and they did an excellent job. They had it done in about a day, and were very helpful and communicative with me, even though I was having the top replaced through my insurance company.
Maybe you could tell honda that you would like them to do the work, and get your top covered under warranty.
The only issue i have with my top is that the top of the back window sits lower than the OEM top. This limits visibility out of the back window just a smidge, but more annoyingly, with the window down and top up, the top trim peice of the back window would hit the roll hoops. I have this issue "fixed" by using weather stripping to keep the window from hitting the roll hoops.
However, I dont think that issue was any result of the product they used, or thier workmanship. I believe its just the fact that i have a 01 frame with basically an 02 top, so it just doesnt sit quite right.
If youd like, send me a PM and we can meet up so you can check it out.
Thanks!
James
