Then there is China. What a mess of rude, pushy spitting people.

It is a 3000 year hold history of human abuse that continues today.
The rude, pushy spitting people are not only found in China, they're here everywhere even here in AU too. It all depends where you go, if you head to the country side of china where it's more rural you'll find that its less polluted and general public more friendly and welcoming.

What abuse are you referring to? Have you been sucked in by the propoganda that the falun kung has been spreading?

When we were in Tiananmen Square the guide said it could fit 1 million people. I asked how many tanks.

How we roll in Xi'an:

http://s2000.byteserve.com.au/china/intersection.MOV

This is a major road leading into Xi'an. It's 4 lanes either way and we were approaching an intersection where a similar road crossed. There are no traffic lights or give way signs and if there were no one would pay any attention anyway. It is effectively a free for all.

Surprisingly it works quite well.

Traffic accidents in China are rife. I saw 3 fatalities in 2.5 weeks. And yes that means seeing the corpses. Nice.

no litter!

_ It's really dirty compared to what it was 10 years ago! But only if you have the direct comparison

And signs about being Gracious, which the people really are

_ Except the taxi drivers

Hi Aus, What were the Chinese toilets like? Are they anywhere near Western standards of cleanliness yet?
