You might need to update the firmware on those devices to work with that latest itunes.

I don't think these devices have firmware. They are just little plug ins for iPods.

Not familiar with the Installer.app thing. What is it? A way of circumventing the App Store?

The original iPhone had a third-party app called the Installer.App (which voided your warranty) which you could use to search and download independent apps from developers. Most of these were free. The really good ones asked for a donation or fee, much like shareware. Stuff ranging from video recording, MMS, lightsabre, beer in your iPhone, etc.

The huge popularity of the third-party apps on the original iPhone I think was the reason why Apple is thinking of big things with the official App store, and taking 30% of revenue from developers.

Hmmmm, the iPod is a 1st Gen Nano and it works fine with the Nike+ and Radio.

When I plug the Nike+ or Radio into the iPhone it reports that these devices do not work with the iPhone and the options do not appear on the iPhone's interface.

I also have a Universal Dock with S-video out. When I plug the iPhone in it says "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone", but it does actually work.

Hmmm, I never actually had a charger. Just the lead that goes to USB.

So I suspect any charger that uses the iPod dock connector will work fine.
