[QUOTE=Muz,Sep 1 2008, 08:12 AM] Oh nonsense Aus. I'm not biased one way or the other but I'm not allowing myself to be blinded by the hype either.

And Jon, to reject a call when someone calls hit either the volume or power button once to silence to call / stop it from vibrating.

Then hit the Power button a second time to reject the call.

When you hit it twice Vuey, make sure it's a quick double click, like a mouse.

Anyone looked into getting a car charger+holder that would be ideal for the centre console area of the S?

I've seen Beaver's one for his but I believe the dimensions would be slightly different to the normal iPod.

I would like to snap one up asap.

Oh, I've got ya. You're not biased, you only post negative reviews because all the positive reviews are hype posted by lemmings. Makes complete sense.
Aus...

Ouch.... no... I think you're reading a bit too much into it. Stop thinking so locally. I was primarily referring to all that I had been reading on Whirlpool, news and technology sites etc (pretty sure I mentioned that). This thread has actually been quite informative as people are tending to give balanced reviews (except me apparently ).

Now ... I respect that you may not want to hear too many negative things about the iPhone but this is an open forum and, if any exist and it can be substantiated, I do.

Now put your hands over your eyes coz' I'm going to ask another question...

Has anybody heard about some of the white iPhone cases crazing an cracking straight out of the box? Seems odd I know but there are quite a few complaints on the MacRumours forum.

That's one thing that bugged me about my iPod(s).. that and the rate at which they were superceded, which is why I'm probably a little more wary this time around.

It might be noted that the only reason why people go onto whirlpool is to complain about something (whingepool) this stems back into the original isp forums.

As for white cases cracking yes there are reports of hairline cracks appearing around commonly used joint areas like around the ac adapter and headphone jack, but it is probably happening with the blacks too just not so visible in the latter.

I personally have a white iphone, week 29 build, no cracks though.

I also read that apple have addressed this problem and you can actually just drop in the genius bar at the apple store and get a replacement on the spot.

Anyone want a free front screen protector? I can mail it

My bodyguardz set came with set of 2x front and back

I managed to screw up two backs because they were near impossible to get on perfectly so I'm left with a spare front.
