Updating apps and syncing works as before. If you update the firmware you have to rejailbreak and will lose your jb apps. There is a back up utility that let's you restore you jb apps but I'm not sure what it is.

have any of you iphone 3G owners had to replace your glass screen yet ?

mrs dropped the 3G iphone and cracked the front screen . The phone still works, but just looks shit house with a cracked screen .

Do you guys know of anywhere in Syd that will repair it ? phone is still under warranty, but i dont think they will fix cracked screens under warranty

Not sure if anyone will repair it. There is a place near me that does iPod and Mac repairs. I'll ask them next time I'm there.

thanks Aus ... found Iphone doctor at Chatswood , $175 to replace front screen =(

other places are quoting $250-280 !!! what a rort !!! bloody outragous !!!

Small part replacement is always a rort. We paid $45 for a glass lamp replacement (wall mounted). A whole new light as $55.... :-0

I dropped my phone from waist high the other day sans case on gravel and although there's a slight scratch on the side it came off pretty well.

Can't wait for firmware 3.0 in June. MMS, turn by turn GPS, copy/cut and paste, forward SMS, Bluetooth sharing, etc. Awesome!
