Default Front Speaker Size?

Can someone confirm for me the size of the front speaker is 6inch?
Would 6.5inch fit too? How hard to take off the door?
Also what splits or speakers you guys have upgraded to?

6.5" will fit as long as it's not too deep
I had a pair of 6.5 Rockford Fosgate split before. I current have 2 pairs of 5.25" MB Quart split in the stock location. I gained some more mid with this setup. If you want serious mid you will need to sound-deaden your door.
Be prepare to find out that it's very difficult to get the perfect sound with the s2k. I am still not very happy with my system.

Here are a few tips for the tweeter location
-Place the speakers where they have a direct path to the listening area.
-For the best integration between the midrange and tweeter, the tweeter should be placed less than 2" from the midrange.
-If you cannot place the tweeter less than 2" from the midrange, then place the tweeter more than 7" from the midrange. Placing the tweeter 2" - 7" from the midrange can cause destructive interference (frequency response problems) which will affect the speaker's ability to reproduce the frequency range around the crossover frequency of the system.
-Whenever possible, place the tweeter directly above or below the midrange as this maximizes the imaging (point source) capability of the speakers.

The stock one is 6" but you can fit a 6.5" in easily.

I had the Rockford Fosgate FNX2614. I bought them for $650 after discount but I don't use them any more so if you like you can make me an offer. You should invest some money into sound deadening material if you want to improve the mid base in the s2k. There is too much wind noise for any speaker to perform properly unaided.
