London Bombings
I've just got home from work and caught the news over dinner
I haven't seen enough yet to understand the full scope of the casualties but it's obvious that this is quite an horrific terrorist attack on our friends in London. I only hope that this doesn't turn out to be as catastrophic as september 11 but I fear that it is the case
I know that we have a couple of ex-pats that post over here and they will most likely be quite anxious at the moment and my thoughts are with you and the rest of those people that have been affected by this attack.
Best wishes to the injured and the families of all involved and good luck to the rescuers too

I don't think we're looking at anything like "September 11" (over 3 thousand killed). More like Madrid, if that. Still pretty horrible, but let's not get too carried away.

That's good news I suppose.(edit: hearing conflicting reports so I'll skip the numbers)
As you said it's horrible, but quite a relief to know that my fears aren't true

Best of luck with that Aus, hope they're all well
From what I've just read on the UK board mobiles are mostly out of service to allow emergency services priority over the lines.

The UK emergency services response appears to be a very well oiled operation. Hopefully that will help save a lot of lives. That sort of opportunity didn't present itself on Sep 11.
