To add agreement with the latter posts, fast driving whether it be on the road or track is all about smoothness and not unbalancing the car. Most cars will react in a similar fashion if you do not plan the driving carefully and this is done whilst at the wheel.
I drove from Singleton to Windsor in the pissing rain in my S2k a few months ago on some roads that the RTA or the media would classify as dangerous, but didn't prang it because I was planning ahead and setting the car's balance before each corner, gearchange and manouvre. It was a fabulous run and the car behaved exactly as I wanted it to.
Remember, it's all about smoothness, balance and understanding the car, tyre pressures, the road conditions etc etc........
