You can take it to your dealer. They recycle it, but they may charge you for the privilege. Many other workshops will do the same, so you could just try whatever is local to you.

I do. Buffy's dad works in heavy industry and has a huge account with Mobil. They were quite surprised when an order for 10w30 came through.

I still have about 3 boxes left.

This thread has sparked me to also ask - How do you dispose of old unwanted petrol?

I have a large Jerry Can full of petrol stored in my garage that I'd like to get rid of for safety reasons. It's very old petrol, purchased in the late 1980's and so it's probably leaded and quite unsuitable for to-day's cars.

I asked a couple of local service stations about disposal but they were clueless.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of it? If anyone has an old clunker that still uses leaded petrol would you like some free fuel?

Well keep those sparks away from it or you won't have a problem any more.

I have a feeling it'll be about as good as 20 year old KB!

OK, say it's no good anymore and/or nobody wants it anyway, does anyone have any bright ideas on how to dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way?

The normal thing to do, it to go to the local waste recycling center...
Eg: North Ryde, Homebush etc...
Put it with the waste oil container...
Failing that,
Any local service station with a garage, will have a waste oil drum.
Take it there...

Now for my stupid idea...
Next time your local school has a fete...
Set up a stall painting childrens faces...
They can all be "Nightshade" from the X-men...
The upside is, you could even make a bit of money from your old oil too...

Could it hurt to whack it into your lawn mower? (Serious question)
