hard as rock is good. make sure you have baked the new pads sufficiently before going for a hard drive. Nothing worse than sailing into a corner with pad fade when you haven't fully cooked the pads during bedding in.

Time for a bit of feedback.

Love these brakes. I press the pedal and the car stops. I haven't actually tested them on the track but expect they would still be going (or stopping) strong when the stockies had turned to jello.

Only complaint is the heat shields. The HowTo I worked from said to cut a large section out, but this exposed the steering ball joint and I was worried about heat on the rubber and grease. So I bashed it and bent it and reshaped it as much as possible. Took a while before it was no longer touching the rotor anywhere. But it seems I didn't do a good enough job with the left hand one and it knocks occasionally. So I will have to pull the wheel, calliper and rotor off and hit it with a hammer for a while again.

But damn they look good in red.
