Drool...
I just can't warm up to Toyota designs...

This is drool for me in that size.

or the KC which I have always prefered as I can use a bigger bed, but not a full back seat.

2008 Toyota Tacoma
4.0 V6
Horsepower @ rpm. 236 @ 5200
Torque (lb-ft) @ rpm. 266 @ 3800

2008 Nissan Frontier
4.0 V6
Horsepower @ rpm. 265 @ 5600
Torque (lb-ft) @ rpm. 284 @ 4000

Toyota is doing NOTHING SPECIAL with that 4.0 L, Nissan kicks their asss with with hp and lb-ft. Your drool should be replaced with cry...

I've always liked the design of the tacoma.

I guess it's a love/hate relationship. However... I WILL be looking at both

I think that Nissan has not faired well in reliability tests compared to Honda and Toyota, but they sure make some sweet looking rides. I don't think I ever would get a full sized pick up or SUV, but if I did I would short list Nissan.

With 90% street driving it was 9-12mpg with Marta's Titan.
I think the best I got in it was around 15-16mpg on the hwy.
The lowest I have gotten is in the 13 range, and that is winter gas and very cold conditions with long warmups. Summer time I run 15 to 16 all the time. On the highway at 72 I can pull down 18 mpg all day long. It's a truck, I don't drive it like a racecar, the right foot has a lot to do with mileage, and those huge f'ing tires you put on the thing did not help out at all...

Quality continues to rise for Nissan, and it's important to note, the falling of Toyota's quality is a very well documentes fact.

Design wise though, Nissan for me just blows Toyota out of the water, Toyota's stuff all looks like crap to me, things like the FJ Cruiser are perfect examples, crap, that's all I see, crap...

But J is 100% right, it's like a Ford Vs. Chevy thing, only in this case it's Toyota Vs. Nissan.

I agree 95% . I just like the Tacoma over the Frontier when it comes to the mid sized truck. Everything else I'd rather Nissan.

Just food for thought. I have a few buddies out west and the Titan is doing very well in the oil patch. Ford used to be the only truck that stood a chance but thats being surpassed by the titan. The new tundra... well lets just say not so good

What's up with that?

I would say cheap gas up there? But when I was up there recently with Marco, every time we went by a gas station, the word cheap never entered my mind.
Nah... It's probably just an over exaggeration on the US side
