FIA Decision
I personally think thursday's decision, the world we simply be witness to more FIA bullsh1t in how they adjudicate F1. After all the evidence, I'm forecasting the harshest penalty will be that McLaren lose all points in the constructor's championship... Big wup dee dee ??
I'd be really, really suprised if by some miracle they actually penalized a team objectively.
So all this Hamilton bull crap about how after thursday he may be out of a job, is such garbage, gimme a break...

I'm thinking the worst they will get is just a random number of points removed, not even all of them. They will then be told they have been bad and warned to not do it again, and nothing more.
I agree with you, I really suspect the decision we see come out on Thursday will be just another typical bs FIA ruling.
As much as I totally want McLaren penalized, I do not see any good coming from the idea floating around in the media that they should be expelled from running in '08; that's too harsh, and I can't believe I wrote that, but that is indeed how I feel.
Marco- I have also read, for what that's worth, the FIA has made it very clear they will not be entertaining anything concerning Renault at this hearing. Maybe, just maybe they are seeiing that Ron D is grasping for straws and they jusrt need to concentrate on the key issue, Ferrari and McLaren.
WOW!!!
Well worth the read...

They are deflecting all over the place looking for a way out imo. McLaren first started out saying they did nothing, then it was a single person (MC) acting on his own, then they where protecting a whistleblower, next not enough proof, then the FIA is out to get us and now it's not good for the sport.

What really baffles me is how they would communicate over such insecure mediums. If I were involved in espionage of this nature, I'd be far more careful.
Mechanical engineers and some of the wives, don't make good spies. They should stick with their day jobs.

I could not have said it better...
I also wonder how much arrogance factors into it all. If you really believe you are above the law, then you don't think of taking precautions because, after all, you are above the law. Then when reality kicks in and you are subject to an investigation, the previous mind set of arrogance looks rather stupid in hindsight.
