I cheer for a variety of teams because I like a variety of teams. F1 is entertainment for me, there is no degree of competition involved, supporting 1 team or 4 makes no difference to me, they are all part of the sport. If cheering for just one team is what makes you happy, so be it; congrats in fact.
Yep, agreed...I can always find reason to cheer for a team...that isn't Ferrari. The beauty of globalization in F1.

Let's not go overboard here - I only wish the other teams to finish 3rd or lower and I certainly would not die for Ferrari F1!

Yeah, only a true lunatic would actually put his life on the line for a sports team

I had an interesting thought today. If MS was pushed out by Ferrari like some have said which I think Schui did not dig on at first but think about it . Schumi gets some needed time off plus they can keep Massa for a year or two since they already had him . Next MS can see how KR is doing in his car and when Massa's contract runs out then MS can make a comeback if he thinks he can beat KR not to mention the press and the fans could have a field day with publicity .
Think about it this could be the biggest stunt for Ferrari of all time.

Silverstreak HX I love your optimism, and trust me, a big part of me would love to see happen what you propose, but the other half of me is working to deal with the trauma of no longer seeing MS do battle on track ever again.

I've given you plenty of time to respond, and you have posted in this thread since.

At 2 p.m. yesterday, AquilaEagle and I exchanged several emails...I'll provide two quotes of what AquilaEagle said:

"I haven't removed any of your posts on the forum."

"As I said i don't know who removed it. So it is hard to comment."

Doug, as I have pointed out many times, you have a problem with me (no basis except still fighting for your old friend) and you consistently are intolerant of differing opinions.

Here is what I said earlier about your comments directed at another poster...

"if you know...you would know...." (Doug being quoted)

Well done mod. Talking down your nose....Reminds me of another..... (My - Sunil's - words)

If this is what we should expect from you, perhaps you shouldn't be a mod. Let me inform you of your duty to mitigate.
how embarassing for you

next time, i'll happily rub your face in it as well

I don't see that happening...now if you would have said MS running Ferrari's F1 program, I would buy in....

Really, I don't want to see MS on the track again. He knew it was time to end it and he did. Tough as it may be for some to accept, he had his run and lived to enjoy it.

I don't want to see him in F1 again. I'd love to see him do a couple DTM races or maybe take up Audi on their offer for LeMans.

the end of an era is upon us... the end of michael's reign after 16 years... there were good times and bad times.... his on track ethics were critisized... sometimes...rightly so... but its all of this that made michael schumacher the legend he is... he will be known in history as the relentless competitor... his drive to win, everytime... people like him dont just develop after they get a fast seat...they're born for it...

his dedication to his team... both at benneton and ferrari... his skill at developing a team, developing a car to win... and never critisizing his teammates when things go wrong... not to mention... his pure driving talent... there is no man alive that can drive like him... a guy's racing skill isnt measured by how he can hold onto his Pole Position... but by how many car's he can pass... time and time again, we've seen him come back from 4 and 5 positions for the lead...

in his last race... after a blown tire... he came back from LAST place to finish in 4th... i mean... his career was complete... he wasnt gonna win.. he has hundreds of millions of dollars... the world loved him... yet, the competitor in him wasnt letting go...he gave his fans one of the best drives of his life...

as the speed commentator said as he made an awesome pass on Kimi Raikannon for 4th place... "it maybe your team next year... but its my team today..." that was the last pass of his career... and it was awesome...

the records speak for themselves in his 249 races... 68 pole positions... 91 wins... 154 podiums...76 fastest laps...13 wins in a season... 7 wins in a row... and most importantly... 7 world championships...

with all due respect to Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher is the greatest driver in the history of Formula 1... perhaps in a fitting sentament coming full circle... Michael was in the car behind Senna when he died... thats the year that Michael started winning championships... and days earlier, he went to Ayrton Senna's gravesite in Brazil in tribute... then he went to Interlagos.... to race his last....

here's to you Michael...

thanks for the memories...
