I didn't really want to go because the course is short and small, and you have to get there before 7:00am (6:00am maybe) but seeing that it's only a block away from my house, I feel it's my duty to show up. I'm debating...

Anyone else considering going?

It's an autocross. The course is like have the size of the SCCA and NASA events, and you only get 3 laps (1 warmup and 2 "competition") in succession. The course is always the same year to year, and a fast time is around 30 secs per lap. The plus side is you don't need a SCCA membership (or any membership), just a driver's license. It's also only $14 (compared to the $25 SCCA and NASA charge.) Oh, and you don't need to work course. I think you can even pay for two sets of runs also, but I'm not totally sure on that one. You gotta get there really early though because it's a high demand event that usually attracts lots of spectators, hence the reason I want to go and represent us...

275 car limit, and they advise to be there at 5am or 6am. If the spots fill up you lose. 5 or 6 on a Sunday is kinda rough for me, but it sounds like fun. Waaaay too early though.

well, the runs are in succession, so it's more like one 90 sec run (or 100-110 if you are slow).
