Greetings
Hi All,
I just purchased my first S2000 today from a colleague at work. I have been looking for one for sometime and this opportunity just presented itself. It is a 2001 GP White with AP2 front bumper and soft top. I just delivered it to the nest up in west Sonoma county so I had a nice 70 mile drive to get used to it. I finally have a job where I can afford this car and I now realize what I have been missing for a long time. Anyways, I hope to gather information from this community to preserve this beautiful specimen of engineering. Hopefully I can attend some local meets or cruises in the near future.
Thanks!

Thanks dark,
I saw the thread of the cruise around Tomales bay which looked like a ton of fun. I keep the car in the north bay area at my folks place because I don't trust parking it on the street in Oakland, where I live during the week. My first car was a 240z, working on a full restoration so that is decommissioned. Never driven a car as cool as this S though, truly amazing piece of machinery.
Cheers,

Nice! Yeah, I noticed my frame rails were getting a little rusty, not too bad though. But I figured I would pull the plug on it and just get this thing fixed up. Running L28 with e31 head, crower cams, still just SU carbs, headers and an exhuast that tends to bottom out on everything lol. I think I need to get a millermatic welder and do my own custom piping.

Sounds like a solid setup, post up some photos! I consider the S2000 as the spiritual successor to the early Z-cars. They're both purposefully designed, well thought-out and overbuilt. They represent some of Japan's finest efforts of minimalist, to-the-point sports cars - no fluff, all business.
I'm running an L28 as well: ported P90, triple 45s, .540" lift cam, 11:1 compression. The ZX 5-speed and 3.54 rear make for a nice cruiser but I've got a 3.9 CLSD ready to go in to wake it up a bit.

That's a sweet video. Mine isn't anywhere near as cool as yours, I am in the process of just sanding everything down before welding in some sheet metal and getting body prepped for some fresh coats of paint. Also running a ZX 5-speed in mine.
