I think the TomTom app we bought was less than $40
Believe it is $50 on the App Store.

download waze or any other gps app, i was in a similar situation, ended up getting the app on the phone and never use my gps
I haven't used my GPS for 6 months... I just use the maps app on my iPhone.
You guys also have to keep in mind that when iPhones doesn't get any good coverage then the gps apps won't work...
Likewise with a garmin though. In fact if I don't have cellphone coverage, I don't have GPS coverage either on the Garmin.. Not to mention online apps are more up to date. I refuse to spend $75 to update my maps on the GPS when the phone is free.

to hell with that shit, life is expensive as it is!

Bought my tomtom for $140 at costco. I believe it's a 550XL, free life time maps and traffic.

Guys have galaxy note 2 with case.
I just bought the modifry bracket but I don't know which mount I need so I can mount my huge phone.
Got any ideas?

Well GN2 is size of GPS so something adjustable one would work. Since it has case I have to get one with adjustable or I would have to take off my case everytime I put it in the mount...

You will want to find a mount that adapts to the specific hole pattern imprinted on the modify. That's a universally used hole patterns. So the cradle will be phone specific and the universal hole pattern will adapt to the modify. Expect to pay about $50 for a kept cradle that is a perfect match for your phone.

Proclip is the brand you want.

Like this charging version, or an equivalent standard version is fine too:

I got you on this one only cuz i have the exact setup. I'm using the platinum/seidio case. And I went through a number of docks to work with the modifry plate. This is what I currently use.

Dock: iBolt Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/Note2

Mounting plate: iBolt AMPS plate

Proclip will not accomodate certain cases... only otterbox. I tried their mount... only good for case-less phones.

Since I use the extended battery case I broke my modifry holder.. Ended up going to OSH and getting velcro, Let me just say I love that stuff. I can almost throw my phone at my dashboard and it stays on the metal part of the bracket with no effort at all. (stayed on even while tracking the car too) just a super cheap alternative to the plastic stuff.
