Thanks for the input, my brake fluid was last changed 3 years ago, so I believe that should be on the list.
Like I said, as of right now I would not be able to do the maintenance myself, and honestly who knows, I may take longer than 4.5 hours...
I admit the experience would be invaluable though.
My car is a MY2000 ap1, based on some basic searches I believe my car is not DBW, therefore no valve adjustment is required?
My conclusion from what you've said is that some, if not half of what I was quoted for, is really unnecessary?

what else are they checking for "wear" ? hub/wheel bearings, axles, bushings, motor mounts, diff mounts, hoses, etc? valve adjustments don't take very long, nor does the valve cover gasket or fluid changes. find out what they're really inspecting.
as alex questioned on the previous posts out of curiosity, which shop quoted you?

Did you just acquire this car? It won't hurt to do all these services and if the car is new to you with no service history I'd get them. Otherwise I'd stick to the maintenance schedule which by design keeps the car in good condition. Many of us here use the "severe service" interval. Wastes a lot of oil but we feel better.
Exhaust valves on the 2006+ cars (drive by wire) in general seem to be too tight. Not sure the reason but there's much evidence of it so that should be considered vital on those cars. Earlier cars don't exhibit this problem as badly.

It's never a bad idea to over maintain in terms of doing fluid changes at earlier than recommended intervals. Especially if you are unsure or questioning whether to get it done. I'd rather get it done and have peace of mind compared to not having it done, blowing out some part, and then dealing with the angst and expense of that negative outcome. If you are uncomfortable with the price, get a couple quotes from a local s2000 specialist and your nerves will calm.

According to Honda 60k all that's done is diff and engine oil. I have a forum member work on my car. As I never plan to go back to a dealer. Those are probably additional services. Unless he hooked it up or he wrote the R/O wrong.
