Transmission Related Question for SSF, SF, and DC Owners
I moved to Pacifica from Santa Clara at the beginning of July. Aside from the obvious weather differences, there is a considerable difference in the terrain that I now drive through on a daily basis. Today, I noticed my transmission feeling notchy between shifts. Now, this is obviously a common trait for our cars but I'm only halfway in to the typical lifespan of my tranny fluid. The obvious culprit are all these massive hills I have to drive through but I wanted to see whether this phenomenon is isolated to my car or if the rest of you are seeing similar results.
Previously, with typical DD usage, I'd get 10-12k miles out of my tranny fluid before shifts became notchy. I am currently at ~6k miles on my current fluid, of which only about 1k has been since I moved here. I use Amsoil Synchromesh and have been for the last 30k or so miles.

i live in burlingame and when its cold in the am, my starter sticks and makes a noise almost like a gear grind.
notchy gears are a daily nuisance at least for the first 5 min of commute, and thats mainly 1-3.
however, i am on the onramp in 5 so it doesnt mean much to me after.
if coming off OEM fluids all around.
my cousin had a 06 white one and never had either of those problems.
meh, is all i can say.
