Default Engine Noise - Help Diagnosing

Hello - Oil leaked from my engine causing it to overheat, now it is making a clanking noise. I live in Sacramento and was wondering if someone with more expertise than I in diagnosing these noises may be able to help me. I listened to the engine with a stethoscope and it sounded like it was coming from the top of the engine rather than the bottom of the engine block. And the sound seems more like a clanking sound rather than a deep knocking sound. The sound occurs while at idle and increases in pace with rpms. I recorded a video/sound clip and have posted it on youtube. The folks that have responded indicated they think it is rod knock and the engine would have to be rebuilt or replaced. I showed the video to my auto repair teacher and he thought it may be a valve train issue, but I checked the valves and they appeared to be ok. I also did a cranking compression test and running compression test and the readings appeared to be within normal range. I have listened to sound clips on-line where S2000 owners had engine noises which was determined to be cause by issues with the timing chain tensioner. But comparing my noise with the TCT noise, mine seems slower.

Anyhow I think the next step may be to pull the engine and open it up, but before I do that I am hoping to get a more conclusive diagnosis based on the noise. Would someone please take a quick listen and help me diagnose what may be causing this - S2000 Engine Noise

Sounds like rod knock buddy. You ran low on oil and probably spun bearings.

Doesn't sound like cards on bike spokes (TCT sound)
