De-Mining (bombs) solution GOATS
#11
I just got back from Cambodia and everywhere you go you see people missing legs or scars from these landmines.
Accoriding to some of the people who I spoke with there, the easiest way they get rid of the mines in the fields is by using a helicopter dragging a line of heavy chains. It works great, however there is no money to operate the helicopter.
Sad stuff seeing all of these maimed people who were not even born when those mines were placed, but are living with the results.

ya that sux..... I think goats are a good solution hahah...Boom!!!! free food
In all seriousness I'd expect the people to clear them using ANYTHING and mark the area as clear. I mean where there is one there is more typically. Maybe it seems easier then it is... idk.

How can goats help with US health care? Simple, other countries need goats as anti bomb technicians. The US has the capabilities of growing goats at an amazing rate. The US can sell goats to the 3rd world countries and all the taxes go into the US health care fund. Not to mention another renewable US Export.
Not to mention, goats make great pets, and pets keep you healthier.

Seriously though, your idea of getting goats to Columbia to clear mine feilds is great! How much will it cost to export goats to Columbia? Or, more importantly, will they be willing to pay for a solution? If so, how much?

Helicopter is a great idea, but like you said. cost. plus goats will eat around places the helicopters can't reach. Jungle, around trees, near villages, etc.
How much would it cost to export? Don't know, But once the goats get there they will start breeding, then it's somewhat free, unless they die faster than they breed.
Who will pay, their governments ofcourse, maybe get the UN (unlikely) to step in and help.
Maybe we can trade goats for oil? We got goats, they got oil, even trade lol
Colder climates a problem???? send over sheep (wool) and Kashmir goats.
Goats can provide meat, milk, clothing, bomb assistance, for very low maintetnace and cost. And they're so gosh darn cute with there maaaaaaaaaaaaa and goatee's. lol
