My wife lost her phone last night and I opted not to go with the insurance when i signed up for service so I have to pay for a new phone out of my own pocket. (Actually, her friend lost it but thats a different story).

I am going to call cingular 1st thing tomorrow and tell them to stop all calls from that sim card but now we need to buy a new phone and sim card. I'm trying to get out of this with the least amount of money so if anyone has a phone from cingular that they dont use anymore, i would be more than happy to take it off your hands. Maybe someone has some connections and I can get a new phone for cheap (Sony Ericson T68i)? I know that the retail price of the phone is a lot more than the new activation price. Any help would be more than appreciated.

my wife wants to go to the cingular store today. she cant wait to get a new phone. hchu304, i guess we are looking at spending anywhere between 0-300. closer to $0 is what im looking for but the 300 is the high figure with tax and everything.

i can get her any phone at a much better price...i can almost be sure....hope this is not too late....juss let me know what phone is she looking for...i think the SonyEricsson T68i is discontinued..tell her to go cingular and look and let me know and ill get you the best price...

I have an older model phone (Motorola Timeport P7389) phone that I used to use when I had cingular about 2 years ago. If I remember correctly, it has a phone number on it that I don't have anywhere else and it won't let me access the phonebook without service. I'd be willing to give it to you if I could get some phone numbers off of it (and erase all of them after I'm done). I think the battery probably needs to be replaced too since it's been sitting uncharged for almost 2 years.

thanks for any help guys. my wife decided on getting the same one she had. Sony T68i. she couldnt wait but hopefully well get reimbursed by her friend that lost her phone.

a couple of my friends have some used phones too but she wanted the same phone because of the long battery life and how "cute" it looks.
