When they say skyline coupe, I'm assuming its the G37 coupe, right?

you're confusing the Skyline with the new GTR

G35/G37 = Skyline
GT-R = GT-R

Yes, the "Skyline" name seems to have been dropped.
The GT-R will have three trim levels. It's built on it's very own chassis. It's NOT on a shared platform.

The G35/37 is the same old platform they have been using for just about every Nissan car they build.
