My girlfriend flies Cessna 172s, 182s, and Arrow PA-28R-201s and they had a landing gear mishap the other day!

Not at all.

Apparently, after putting the landing gear down, it locked but the indicators read that it wasn't. She heard the pump to the hydraulics whining/buzzing and figured it was not fully locked.

Needless to say she landed the plane without a hitch and after mechanics inspected the plane, they found some bolt/screw was missing causing a hose/line to move out of place causing the malfunction.
