2012 GT vs 2012 X
It's preference really when asking folks on here. I don't like the exterior looks of the Mustang at all. On the other hand, I love the Evo X's with a drop and wheels. The gearbox on the Evo is as close to the S2000 that I have driven. The gates are tight yet smooth, and feels solid.
If this were me, I'd get the Evo X in white.

Why not take the car with more straight line potential if they handle equivalently?
Mustang. I saw a kid driving a 5.0 at the local twistytrack (Adams) getting lap times in the Evo range.
I own a 2011 Mustang Gt 6mt, modded, 410rwhp, soon to be 525-550rwhp on the bottle, daily driven.
Ive tested the EVO X and it was eeehhh, doesnt give me the thrill my Mustang does and nowhere near as fast. Also, I love my interior. Everyone who has sat in my car has also loved it. I have all the options though, navi, premium interior, glass roof, etc... I would only trade it for a new 2013 Shelby

The boss was not out when I got my 2011 GT. Also, talking with several tuning shops and part vendors, most agree you are just paying for the Boss name. A GT with the Boss intake manifold puts down nearly the same amount of power as the Boss, maybe off by 5rwhp. I am at 420rwhp with bolt ons, and the Boss mustang with the same things (CAI/Boss Manifold, offroad pipes and a tune) are putting down 420-425.
But yeah, the 2013/14 Shelby will be my next car, in Deep Impact Blue.. that thing is sexy!

wow so many evo nutswingers here.
Your single, mustangs are pussy magnets lol. you can also get a mustang GT conv. to satisfy your topless needs.
Id prefer a used C6 vette ( not Z06 to conform with your budget) over both evo and stang though.

I believe that the Boss also gets you forged internals, which should give you some additional room for modding. I suspect that a good portion of Boss buyers will leave them stock, so you are right on top of those folks from a performance perspective.
