Camuman, If i've ever heard of a time to learn how to drive like an ECO-Moder, I think it's now! Go buy a Scangauge and I bet you can increase your MPG by 50%! Albeit, it'll be mid teens, but that should add up to a decent savings in gas. I used to sell Jeeps and always loved taking out the SRT version of the Jeep. It's launch was epic!

thing eats babies when it launches. big 5k lb porker leaves the hole HARD. and lol at hyper mile ing it. on a long trip it will stretch its legs and get 15/16mpg when averaging 75-80. i bet i could squeak out 18/19 if i would cruise on the highway at 55-60. but f@#k that.

i drive like an asshole to begin with and i drive in rush hour both ways. oh well. the logical choice would be to get rid of this truck and get a TL SH loaded stick and get a combined 20mpg which would cut my gas bill in half. hmmmmmmmmm, <goes to acura site>

a freind of mine has one, has not had any issues with it aside from the dealer leaving an oil filter loose and creating a mess(luckily only leaked a bit and the filter stayed on).. He also has an 08 Ferrari F430 Scudeira which gets better MPG and an 08 Corvette Z06 which gets double the miles of the SRT8. I laugh when he says he is getting 31MPG in the Vette because I only get 24 in my S(driving like grandpa)

I consider the SRT8 Jeep to be about as practical for daily use as an Ariel Atom. Both are really built to do one thing, and one thing only. I guess if you have the money, go for it. But it seems insane to spend 60K on a vehicle and then get such piss-poor MPG - if you are using the vehicle on a very regular basis.

I see one here on occasion and shake my head at the driver. Crazy.

my trailblazer SS is fairly good at everything... reasonably quick, hauls 5 people or a ton of stuff inside.. tows a 7000lb trailer... all wheel drive for winter... it looks pretty neat...

it does get 16ish on highway and 13 in mixed driving...

I just can't get over the HUGE price of the SRT8 Jeep........
