I like the overall shape of the car but there are a few design cues that bug me.

The headlights look ridiculous! They are far too complicated and cluttered looking.

The front intakes look a little boring compared to the rest of the car.

As previously stated, the current Ferrari taillights are very ugly.

And the biggest offender for this car, THOSE MIRRORS! They are placed way too low on the door and just have a terrible shape to them.

Overall I think its a very pretty car but not anywhere near as pretty as so many people seem to think it is. guess its just me.

Every part of the 458 was thoughtfully designed. The Aero-active plastic air dam splitters look terrible, but effectively increase downforce when necessary. Plus, it has a whole lot of power and revs just as high as the S2k!

I didn't like the car at first, but when I saw it in person a month ago wow. Has a very menacing road presence.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. With that engine in it I really dont care how it looks. That v8 is one amazing piece of engineering.

The front and side view looks great. The rear is butt ugly. Fitting I guess.

That's too bad. If you are another car the tail is all you are likely to see

I parked my CR next to a 458 Italia a while back. People walking by didn't even care about the blue sexy car sitting next to the red sexy beast.
I couldn't help but drool over the 458.
I must say though that I dislike the headlights but the rest of the car is just gorgeous.

obviously love that car, maybe i watch too much Top Gear but when they did the test against the "old" F430 it looked like a brick next to the 458.

the thing is a technological marvel, but it looks like a step backwards.

sleek but lacking in distinguishing feature. the slits in the hood make it look unfinished. the 3 pipes are a joke from the 80s. wheels like low end aftermarket ones. i'd still take one, but i'd prefer the looks of the 430.

Same thing always happens when a new model comes out. Fans of the previous model will hate it...until they start warming up to it.

Everyone loved the 355...when the 360 came out, folks thought it was a fugly. Then they started liking it. 430 came out, everyone slammed it...then they loved it. Same thing happening here. I think its beautiful.
