Best sounding SUV too, IMO. Why do Nissan's/Infiniti's sound so good

 

I really don't think they sound that good. They seem to always sound the same. It reminds me of an engine soundtrack from a video game, monotone and a bit artificial.

FX35 has a pretty nice interior too, definitely on par with the T-reg or a Porsche.

For driving characteristics, I'd take the FX35. For safety in a collision, I'd take the VW. For Function and utility, I'd take neither and get a nissan pathfinder (and suffer the poor fuel economy)

 

I test drove an FX35 a while back cause I thought it looked awesome and might have been a good daily driver replacement when my pathfinder got rearended. It was a great driving car with the exception of a few points.

1) It's pretty small, no larger inside than an average sedan, and the cargo room isn't stellar. So it doesn't drive like an SUV, but doesn't hold stuff like an SUV either.

2) The exhaust note from inside the car got tiring. Sure it sounds good from the outside of the car when driving by, but from the inside it just seems to drone on and on.

So all in all it was a great vehicle, but I couldn't really see what truly set it apart from say a G35X.

 

impo the fx is a nice truck but it cant touch the touareg in terms of interior materials and build quality.

 

I vote fx.... best looking suv ever made, and you will still have fun driving it. Its probably also one of the best handling suv's. I drove one for a week and had absolutely no complaints. Its not super fast, but is much quicker than most other suv's in its class for the price. The seats are very comfortable also. It didnt seem to have nissan/infinity's crappy plastics on the inside either. The toureg on the otherhand is also a very nice suv, and has a very very classy look. It looks just like the porsche cayenne. The only problem is that its very underpowered (unless you spend much more $ for the v8) Get the fx, you wouldnt be dissapointed

 

Not in my opinion. The new FX has a nicer interior than the original but it's still well below the Touareg. The Touareg, on the other hand, is right up there with the Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes SUVs for interior design and fit/finish.

 

Nah. I think the RANGE ROVER is the best looking SUV ever made.
