anybody know anything about this badass turbo (non-s2000 application)?
Garrett's new GT28R turbo is awesome from what I understand. In an upcoming application for the nissan sentra spec V, Jim Wolf is using it to make an incredible 11psi at only 2000 rpm! It just got my mind wondering. I'm curious about it. Someone gave me these specs from another forum:
"The turbo is part of Garrett's new "Ballistic GT series" They realy aren't out on the market just yet.
NS-111 turbine (70mm)
T25 housing (.86 A/R)
62 trim T3 compressor wheel
.60 A/R T3 compressor housing
twin ball bearing center section (same as S14 SR20DET cartridge)
It can be built for about 1400.00"
Anyways, I'm thinking it may be awesome for our motors, but maybe too much. But a great upgrade to many of the existing and upcoming kits to our cars.
Another question. I'm not sure about the stress on a motor when cruising in full boost, I mean when you're just cruising on the highway, 80mph at 4200 rpm in 6th and running 6psi. Anybody?
