Default Bike prices

I am looking into bikes, and it seems like they are way cheaper in california than in texas.

Is this just supply and demand?

Example: I saw a few 07 zx-6rs for ~3k in cali, but going for 5+k here.

There's no way. everything in california is more expensive. seriously. especially southern california.

One of the reasons for higher prices on bikes is that CA needs "specially" smog regulations AND we can't buy a new bike out of state unless you're willing to pay crazy fees on it to get it registered. We can't even register a used bike from out of state unless it has over 7,500 miles on it.

That being said, there are deals every where and in CA you can pretty much sell a bike year round because we can ride almost everyday here. Just make sure you have an opportunity to check everything out before you commit.
