Imagination. 80s box. I think its the narrow A/C pillars that kill it for me. Would like to drive one though.

Most of us didn't buy our BMW to track it. We bought it for luxury and performance. They make a great all rounder. Sure, they cost a bit more than the average vehicle but its worth it to us.

Btw, I got a lot more looks and comments in the S2000. Just different vehicles with different purposes.

.1% of bmw drivers are in 750lis.

the question of this thread is whether or not people buy bmws for the badge or performance qualities. obviously, people buy the cars because of luxury as well , but on the whole of things, i would say (as would others in this thread) that performance is the least important of the three variable for bmw owners.
So if I'm driving safely, and not making an ass of myself by weaving in and out of traffic, then performance is not important to me? I haul ass in my M3, and appreciate the hell out of it's performance, but I generally do it away from "spectators".

How the hell did the badge become what it did in the first place, just by good marketing? What brand combines performance, luxury, and practicality better than BMW?

E30 M is still pulling a hefty price tag used too..

Beautiful, classic, car!

It is sad that there is no longer any exclusivity in owning a M.
