buying used maxima, hints and carfax
1992 Maxima 133k miles
paint is in nice cond. except for the plastic bumpers which are completey faded (yellow in some parts)
everything seems to be functioning mechanically, starts fine/sounds fine/auto tran shifts fine and they have all the matinence records and it looks well taken car of, no major problems in the past it appears.
JN1EJ01P2NT108840 is the VIN and carfax says they have 1 record on it but dont have account, is it worth it?
thinkin offering 2.5?
anything I should look for or whatnot?
thanks

How is the condition of the interior? Take a good look. I've had several customers want to trade their Maximas in for Hondas because the interior on some disintegrated.

I'd definitely pass on one with a bad interior. Is it a GXE or an SE?
Both have a good kick when you hit the accelerator, and automatic ones are deceptively quick. If it's a GXE it'll be much cheaper to repair, since it's SOHC. The DOHC engine, which started on the 92 SE, can be expensive on certain repairs.
Regardless of the engine type, ask the seller about the fuel injectors and whether or not they've been done recently...this is one of the Maxima's Achilles' heels, and by far the most common repairs/problem areas on Maxes of that generation. Also listen for any ticking while the engine is idling...this could signal a broken VTC (variable intake timing) system.
The paint being faded at 133k sounds a bit alarming to me. My 1993 Max SE has 108k on it and the paint is in damn good shape for being 12 years old...very good shine still. Grnated my car is white and it's hard to tell otherwise, but it looks great when waxed.

As JerryIII stated before too, if you haven't checked out the maxima.org forums, definitely ask those guys questions too before you buy. They'll dump all kinds of need-to-know info on ya, and plenty of links to repair sites and group deals and such.
