Calling Corvette Experts
I am looking for a new car, and I am thinking about getting "just a Chevy" (I've actually loved Corvettes since I was a kid...I'm 33). The 0% 60 mo. financing on left-over '08s is compelling. I am looking at a black/black manual 1LT, Z51, NPP car, the sticker for which is $50K, I believe. My questions are 1. how much should I expect to get off sticker on a left-over '08 ($10K?) and 2. how are the seats in the 1LT cars? I don't need the extra stuff that comes with the 2LT, 3LT, 4LT, but since all Corvette seats are lousy, I am concerned about the base, non-sport seats in the 1LT. Should I be? $40K for the car with 0% financing is pretty attractive.
As an aside, I am probably down to the '08 Corvette v. an '06 or '07 Cayman S, which I love. Or, if practicallity wins the day, which I hope it doesn't, I am also considering a capable but soulless 335i (good lease deals available now), a more soulful but more expensive to maintain E39 M5, or a happy-medium G8 GXP.

You probably know this, but Corvette Forum is a great place, full of knowledgeable and friendly folks.

Yeah, I'm just a creature of habit and probably don't need the distraction of another car forum. I also figure there's probably enough Corvette experts here (looking in your general direction QUIKAG...).

if you are looking at used as a possibility then why not throw in a used z06???
2. I don't need a Z06 (I can probably get arrested/kill myself pretty easily with just 436hp).
3. I like the revisions on the '08+ cars and an '08+ Z06 is too much $$$.
4. From reviews I have read, some people actually prefer the base car as an all-around car.

Any thoughts on the 370Z. I just saw my first one on the road yesterday. It's very tempting if you haven't seen one in person then check it out.
