If they do go into bankruptcy, which I doubt will ever happen with the current prez and his union ties, they will restructure as a more efficient company with better ability to compete globally still manufacturing Corvettes.
The resale value will not change and if anything may go up if they are not produced anymore, gov would guarantee the warranty if GM halts business entirely. There are enough aftermarket Corvette suppliers that you could nearly build one from the ground up, replacement parts should not be a problem.
NO WORRIES.
Its not a question of 'if', but 'when'. Im sure parts won't be a problem, but warranties will be voided and at least some people will shy away from them. Its less risky to wait before buying one IMO.

You can have your opinion unfortunately, You are wrong.
If Obama were to allow GM to go bankrupt and void union contracts do you understand the shitstorm this will create for him? He will not allow it to happen.
.GOV will give them the money they need to float and get it turned around. Have you missed the money they are handing out in DC?
If C6 stops production, I own a collector car.
Better get them before the price hike!
There has never been a better time to buy a Corvette, market down, gloom and doom, GM needs business worse than ever. If you ahve money, everything is on sale.

Im waiting for the 31st. I dont expect they will have a practical survival plan. After $82 billion of losses over 5 years, its clear the business model is not sustainable.

Thanks. Fitchner has the jetstream blue 2LT MN6 Z51 NPP for $45,800. Not bad. But, I also found this one: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u...&standard=false. It looks to be a 2LT with Z51 and NPP. If it had the titanium interior, I'd be on my way to pick it up (maybe they'd go to $38,XXX?). I really do like the two-tone interiors. My first choice would probably be atomic orange (I said earlier that I wasn't a fan, but I have come full-circle on the color) with cashmere. Jestream blue with titanium would be nice too.

Make them a lowball offer and see if they bite. Never been a better time to be in the market for one.
