Default Comptect SC for TSX 6sp

at almost $4,400 + installation, 50hp and 30lb/ft at the wheel doesn't come cheap

and VTEC point is lowered to 3,000 rpm?

Supercharger Kit (04 TSX M/T)

a 3mm headgasket and about 9psi would be nice with this setup. 255ishwhp and carb legal for $4500? not bad...

also some fuel/engine management mods would help. i agree though, not much out of the box, but a few small items can make it a nice purchase.

I would think that you could put that money towards an Acura TL and be faster. Not sure though. Of course the TL still weighs more, and doesn't handle as sharply.

Just, $4,400 + installation sounds like a big chunk of money to me. What kind of performance numbers would that give the TSX?

With VTEC engaging at 3K RPM it will have very poor fuel economy. By the time you add in the cost of shipping and installation you could have traded in for a used TL...pointless.

totally worthless....as a TSX owner i am very disapointed. you want to make power? this is what you do:

RSXS head
CTR intake cam
ITR exhaust can
DC race header
intake
catback
euro R intake mani
AMS

there is 230+whp easy.

cheaper than 4400 easy.

Why do that when you can get a Jetta GLI and just mess with the turbo and the cheapness that comes with modding a turbo.

Because the GLI isn't as nice on the inside, has cookie-cutter wheels, and is still relatively unproven for reliability. It's also butt-ugly.

Surely VTEC engages at 3K only at WOT. In which case fuel economy isn't really what you care about.
