Are you seriously comparing cars to women. Last time I checked the only car you can talk to is K.I.T.T.
unfortunately laptimes are almost meaningless when it comes to magazines....... the drivers usually are mid level and may or may not feel comfortable in a particular car..... Vipers are probably only ever driven at 8/10's compared to maybe someone driving a miata at 10/10's.......
I have lots of old magazines...i will dig out something that has a comparision....... plus I think they are talking about the 1993 RX7's....not 1991.... that was probably a typo.

A ZR1, actually most of the C4's were always great handlers, and the ZR1 with 375hp (later 405) was definitely much faster in a straight-line than any year NSX. While, I don't have proof to show, I have little to no doubt that a ZR1 would spank an NSX on a roadcourse.
Actually, it was not a typo, both cars existed at the same time. I would assume folks would understand my reference was to the 3rd gen RX-7 ... the fact that it did not show up until 1993 is neither here nor there in my opinion.
Thank TTB for this one, oh and notice how close a regular old LT1 was to the NSX in terms of lap times -- not to mention both the base Corvette and the RX-7 out slalomed the NSX:
Assuming it is a '93 rx-7, I am still not convinced. I may be wrong, which is fine, I just want to see how wrong I am.
