CRV power window
98 CRV 105,000 miles
Well my drivers side window stayed stuck down today leaving work (95 and humid
)
The Window has sounded a little clunky the last few months. I pulled the panel and it seems the gear on the motor has lost its teeth.
This is the first major problem with the car.
Anyone here replaced a power window motor? Any tips
It's a little buried behind the door?
Thanks,
George

Very easy to replace
1. remove the door liner and unplug all wires
2. remove the door seal barrier
3. Unbolt the glass from the power window regulator (2 bolts)
4. Unbolt the power window regulator from the door frame (4 bolts)
5. unplug the wire to the motor
6. lift and remove the regulator.
installation is reverse.
a tip...line up whe window glass bolts with the holes inthe door frame to eaily access the bolts with a socket wrench extension.
ive done this on many other Hondas and they all install/remove the same way
good luck

Most likely it's not the motor that's stripped, but the teeth on the regulator.
The CRV uses a scissor type regulator. The teeth on the motor are harder than the stamped steel teeth of the regulator.
Moving to Car talk as well, as it's not on a S2000
