Default CRX vs VFR

I thought these facts were amazing.

'90 CRX-Si
1,600cc engine, 108 horsepower
5.5" wide wheels

'98 VFR
800cc engine, 108 horsepower
5.5" wide rear wheel

Not to mention the huge advantage in power-to-weight; that's why I love bikes!!

I'm selling the CRX so I can have the VFR.
There is a direct correlation between "safe" and how "aware" you are while riding a bike. I agree, most people are not defensive enough drivers to make a bike safe. I will not give up motorcycling, because I refuse to let fear rule my life. The freedom, the joy, the independence, the agility, the speed, the mental challenge, all these and more make motorcycling a fantastic experience. One you will never get in a car!

Triple-H,

You said it better than I could. Why not just sell our S2000's and drive Volvos instead? Part of what makes life fun and exciting to me is taking controlled risks. If you consider that the vast majority of motorcycle accidents involve alcohol &/or lack of proper training, it's not that hard to stay safe on 2 wheels IMO. Even the baddest car couldn't match the feeling of dragging your knee through a corner or pulling a nice wheelie!

I loved my old CRX Si, but not enough to give up a bike to get it back.

Bump.

I'd take the VFR. The V4 sounds awesome.

10 year bump? Wow!

I had a '98 VFR but sold in 2001 for a 929rr. Have a Crossplane R1 now, that ironically enough, fires at the same intervals of the VFR. It's a "virtual" v4.

10 year bump... holy shit.... how old are all of you people... lol....

I used to ride motorcycles fairly sanely...because the bikes i had were not all that fast.... unfortunatly i got a ZX6R about 2 years ago and destroyed it and got a helicopter ride about 6 months after i got it... so tempting with 170mph capabilities...doh...

lets plan to bump this up in another 10 years... ahahaha

when they released the 1400cc super bikes they made 200ish HP. Now the 1000s make the same power levels.

'

BRB 600 lbs and 200whp.
